INTRO TO HOME BREWING
From mid 1997 until its final Edition, the printed vertion of "Whats Doing" carried a series of articles of making beer at home. For the benefit of younger and/or new readers, these are being made available online for the first time.

Many thanks to Pete Cash for these articles.

Meet the Winners of the 2011 Independents day Treasure Hunt, Cask Que C'est

John Mellor ~ Arthur Phillips ~ Chris Jones

We're all Manchester chaps originally. Chris and I have been in Sheffield many a year. Brother in law and City-fan John is up in Rossendale. Getting together for the treasure hunt is great fun and a chance to revisit familiar favourite mancunian pubs - and discover some new ones! Not forgetting the afternoon's array of beers too - the events have successfully tempted John away from his usual lagers. We're over the moon to have cracked the answers to the dastardly clues and, at the tie-breaker, seize the Treasure Hunt shield for Sheffield (ok, after engraving it's back safely in Salford!). The challenge is on for the Manchester teams to regain it in 2012 !
