Our Pubs

The North Manchester region of has a rich variety of Pubs and Bars serving traditional ale ranging from Joseph Holts Grade 11 Edwardian masterpieces found in the Eccles region to our listed pubs in the Northern quarter and some newly opened bars converted from old Victorian workshops and stores.

These pages will document the history of some of these interesting buildings so that visitors to our region can learn saviour some of this history whilst enjoying a pint. Our North Manchester Branch outlets (and other regions with an interest in the City such as South Manchester and Trafford & Hulme) are included on my Google map that you will find on the Diary page.

Some of these establishments belong to long established Breweries that have become famous for their brews. Joseph Holt, John Willie Lees, Hydes and Robinsons (Stockport) whilst some pubs, untied, support the many Micro breweries as do the plethora of bars. Some pubs have their own brewery attached such as Boggart, Marble, and Star (the first co-operative public house) purchased by local residents off Robinsons Brewery.
