Beer Festivals

 

These days there are loads of beer festivals taking place all over Britain.
This page carries details of just a few of them, that are easy to reach from our branch area.

 

Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, 29th and 30th August 2010 - the A B C (Altrincham Bottle & Cask) Festival in [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control Altrincham Market Hall, Greenwood Street, Altrincham WA14 1SA.
This festival is run in association with the Trafford & Hulme branch of CAMRA.

Friday to Sunday, 17th to 19th September 2010 - a charity Beer Festival run by [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control Astley Bridge Cricket Club in Bolton. The beers will be from around the North West - Bank Top, Prospect, Southport, Allgates and Three Bs - along with Weston's Old Rosie Cider. For more details telephone 01204 415515. This festival has nothing to do with CAMRA but it does sell cask ales.

Thursday and Friday, 23rd and 24th September 2010 - a Beer Festival at the [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control Royal Northern College of Music, Oxford Road, Manchester.
This festival is run in association with the Trafford & Hulme branch of CAMRA.

Thursday to Saturday, 28th to 30th October 2010 - the [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control SIBA [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control Great Northern Beer Festival at the [image] This links to an external site over which we have no control Palace Hotel, Oxford Street, Manchester.
SIBA North competition in the Grand Room of the Palace Hotel, on Thursday 28th followed by a beer festival exhibiting 300 cask beers from SIBA North members (121 breweries). All beers to be dispensed by hand pump (48 at any given time) with sparklers and a fresh glass on each fill. Open to the public from 4 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on the 28th, noon to 10.30 p.m. on the 29th and 30th. Pay on the door (price to be confirmed but probably £5) with discounted entry to card carrying CAMRA members. Refundable Souvenir lined glass on deposit/purchase; food available at all sessions; entertainment on Saturday.
This festival is run by the Society of Independent Brewers in association with the Greater Manchester branches of CAMRA.

Wednesday to Saturday, 19th to 22nd January 2011 - the severalth National Winter Ales Festival at the Sheridan Suite in Manchester.
This festival is run by CAMRA nationally and supported by branches from all over the country.
